Designated Rover design team project designer I developed a  vehicle entry system for the new discovery codenamed 'tempest' based at the customers design centre using Cadds5, solid modeling/surfacing/detailing, liaising with Valeo for the issue of drawings and production of prototypes. Later I was based at Valeo modelling in Catia 4.2 issuing prototype and production drawings, liaising with all departments taking the project from concept to completion. I was also heavily involved in current Land Rover products dealing with many smaller projects. I later also developed a mechanical shift interlock mechanism for the 'freelander' vehicle.

These projects involved complex assemblies with safety and quality requirements and would require a high degree of customer liaison with use of design tools to ensure a cost effective design of quality.

This involved designing zinc die castings, standard and gas injected mouldings, pressings, cold formed components, springs, sintered parts, plating and paint processes, 12v technology and the production and monitoring of samples through internal and customer testing.
